If you are thinking on send a check, believe it or not is not so easy for Melanie's family to take it.
To start they depend 100% on Medicare's help, with medicare
if you go a little bit over the maximum amount of money you can earn on
any way during a year, then bye bye coverage.
Then you might ask, the family shouldn't be living that bad if their are
at risk of reaching that amount? well, we are talking about $30000 by
year (Can you imagine a family of 5, with all the extra expenses a girl
like Melanie may incurre, plus the special treatments for Julie, plus
the Umbilical Cord Banking cost, etc?)
If you are in a position to give Melanie a really good help, then please read the Help Me area, and you will probably found good ways to help this princess.
If you want to help, but you are not in a position to give them a house as a gift, then you can probably help them to cover daily costs.
Why not a Gift Card, but an every day shopping store gift card. Read down there a list of businesses from where you can buy a gift card and send it to this family that really need it (some of them even allow you to buy online and send it directly to their house).
Any gas station. Chevron, Shell, Exxon, Sunoco, etc.
